HOUSE MANUAL

Below is a quick and brief explanation for different items/amenities found throughout the house. Please contact us if something is still not working properly after reviewing the notes in this manual.

GENERAL ITEMS

WiFi - Network is “2255 Wildcat Guest” and no password is required.

First-Aid Kits - Located in the cleaning closet next to the top of the stairs and both the master and mini-master bedroom closets.

Fire Extinguishers - Located below the kitchen sink, below the stove cooktop, in the cleaning closet next to the top of the stairs, beneath the grill, mechanical room, and one is also in the garage.

Thermostats - We have 4 Nest thermostats in the house for both heat and air conditioning and we also keep space heaters in every bedroom. 1 Nest controls all of the upstairs living areas including the office and is at the top of the stairwell. 1 Nest controls all of the upstairs bedrooms which is found in the master bedroom. 1 Nest is for all downstairs which is found outside the laundry room. The 4th Nest is for the radiant floor heating in the garage. Please make sure to keep the garage doors shut when not in use so the garage stays warm in the winter time and wildlife stays out of the garage trash in the summer.

Drinking Water - Please drink the water from the purified 5 gallon water jugs - extra jugs can be found in the garage. Our faucet water is filtered and we test our water for bacteria once a year but it does have a bit of a well water taste. All of the water in the house comes from an 880 foot deep water well that is pumped to the house. Montrose Water Factory refills our 5 gallons jugs in the garage twice a month and if you are ever low or out of 5 gallon jugs let Jordon know.

Trash - Please take the trash down to the garage and place in the large trash containers. Our cleaning crew will take care of disposing the trash after you checkout.

Lights - We have labeled most of the light switches to help you identify what each switch goes to. The light switch that controls the main lighting for the living room and kitchen is found next to the wine opener on the back side of the kitchen island. The driveway lights are motion detected and turn on/off automatically - Once motion is detected they will turn on and then stay on for 5 minutes before they turn off automatically.

UPSTAIRS

Fireplace - There is a remote for the fireplace which can be found next to the TV remote. Point the remote at the fireplace and to turn on press and hold the “On” button until you hear a click. To turn off, press and hold the “Off” button until you hear a click.

Note 1 - You can manually turn the fireplace on/off by rotating the knob on the bottom left of the fireplace to the “On” position if the remote is having issues.

Note 2 - If the pilot light goes out there are instructions on the inside of the black cabinets to the left of the fireplace on how to relight it or you can call Jordon. The pilot light is on the bottom left of the log set.

Sonos Multi-Room Audio - The iPad is the only device that can control the Sonos multi-room audio system. Open the “Sonos” app on the iPad and you can play music in almost every room of the house including the outdoor patio. I recommend using Spotify or Pandora on Sonos to play music as there are no ads on those accounts.

Living Room 75” Fireplace Television - The Logitech Harmony Remote Control takes care of the TV above the fireplace TV. We use YoutubeTV as our TV provider and you can watch that on the Roku or the AppleTV. Press the “Activities Button” on the remote and then wait patiently for the TV and other devices to turn on. If something doesn’t work please turn off everything by pressing the off button on the top left of the remote and then re-starting the activity. The Fireplace TV should NOT produce any sound from the TV speakers - all the sound should be coming from the Yamaha receiver and surround sound speakers. If you notice that there is audio coming TV AND the surround sound speakers and it sounds awkward, grab the black Sony remote in the cabinet and point it at the TV and turn the volume all the way down on the TV speakers.

The Logitech remote should automatically perform all these tasks when you select the activity and you shouldn’t need the below info but these are the settings just in case:

Inputs for ROKU Ultra: TV = HDMI 2 & Yamaha Receiver = HDMI 1

Inputs for AppleTV: TV = HDMI 2 & Yamaha Receiver = HDMI 4

Inputs for DVD Player: TV = HDMI 2 & Yamaha Receiver = HDMI 5

Inputs for Nintendo Switch if you bring that upstairs and dock it: TV = HDMI 2 & Yamaha Receiver = HDMI 3

Living Room 43” Cabinet Television - If you would like to watch two TV’s at once there is an additional TV in the black cabinets to the right of the fireplace. Press the home button and then select YoutubeTV to watch TV. Two TV’s for sports is a blast!

Black Cabinet Doors to the left of the fireplace - This is where we keep all of our games, puzzles, toys, etc. Please open that and have a blast!

Kitchen Appliances:

  • Kitchen Freezer - Freezer vapor locks for 45 seconds after you close it. Please wait patiently and then try opening again - do not pull hard on the handle.

  • Dishwasher - Press the Start/Cancel button twice and as soon as you see the 4-3-2-1 countdown on the LCD screen shut the door.

  • Wine Opener on the Wall - Take off the cap of your wine bottle and then place the bottle in the holder. You do not need to hold the bottle of wine once it is in the holder. With the arm all the way up, slowly press down on the handle until the screw is all the way in the bottle and then slowly pull up on the handle.

  • Glassware - The wine glasses and other glassware are directly below the iPad stand in the cabinets below the counter top. Pull the high top chairs out and look below for wine glasses, champaign glasses, margarita glasses, cocktail glasses, etc.

  • Loud fan noise in kitchen - if you hear a fan noise in the kitchen the top draft vents are running and the switch for this fan is between the cooktop and the oils/salt/pepper.

Baby Gate - We keep a baby gate in the cleaning closet which is located at the top of the stairwell in the first closet door. Snap the gate into the pre-drilled plastic holders and keep the gate shut while your kids are upstairs.

Office - The Printer/Scanner has a 10 foot USB cord attached to the back of it which you can plug directly into your computer if you need to print any documents. There is extra toner and paper in the drawers below the printer. Dell Monitor - There is an HDMI cable, USB C and display port cable on the back of the monitor that you can hook up to your laptop. Feel free to plug the Telescope in and play with that and there is also a piano keyboard under the table for your use.

Master Television - This TV has YoutubeTV, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. Press the “Home” button on the black Sony remote and then select YoutubeTV app to start watching live TV.

Master Jacuzzi - Press and hold the small circular button to turn on and off the jets. Please make sure the water is above the jets before you turn the jets on.

Space Heaters - Every bedroom has an electric space heater in the closet. Please use these space heaters in the winter time to keep your room at your desired temperature if you think your room is too cold. I recommend using a space heater in the mini-master at the end of the hallway in the winter time as that room runs cold with the multiple windows.

Pillows - There are a lot of extra pillows in the master closet if you don’t like the softness or size of your pillow.

DOWNSTAIRS

Laundry Room - Please leave the washer and dryer doors slightly opened/cracked when not in use to prevent mold. Place only 1 Detergent Pod in the washing machine for each load. Clean the dryer’s lint filter before/after each load when using the dryer. The Keiser Bike has an iPad app and you can use the iPad with the Keiser app via bluetooth to monitor your spin workout.

Downstairs TV - This TV has YoutubeTV, Nintendo Switch, XBox and a Playstation 3 for DVD’s. To watch live TV on this downstairs TV, press the “Home” button on the black Sony remote and then select the YoutubeTV app.

Garage Doors - Please keep the garage doors shut when not in use to keep the heated garage warm in the winter time so we don’t have busted pipes and to keep it shut in the summertime to keep the wildlife out of the trash.

Garage 24 Port Dryer - Put your boots, shoes, gloves, helmets, etc. on the 24 port dryer on the wall and turn the knob to your desired length of heat and make sure to press the Heat button below to heat. If you don’t press “Heat” it will just blow ambient room temperature air. I recommend running on Heat for 3-4 hours.

Garage Ice Freezer - Please make sure and firmly shut this freezer door after each time you open it - It does not auto close. If we are ever low on ice, please let Jordon know and we will refill the freezer with ice.

OUTSIDE

Hot Tub - To remove the hot tub cover fold the hot tub in half starting with the side facing the mountains/views and push it back towards the house. Then push the edge of the cover that is halfway over the hot tub back towards the house.

Hot Tub TV - Remote for this Hot Tub TV is by the towel rack.  Select Youtube TV to watch TV.  Please do not splash the TV.

Propane Grill - Turn the propane tank on very slowly to get gas to the grill. The electric starter should work. If not, there should be grill lighters on the top-right drawer above the trash/recycling bins in the kitchen and also in the bottom right cabinet doors in the dining room with other grill accessories. Remember to turn off the propane tank after you are done using the grill. Extra propane tanks can be found in the garage if you need it.

Umbrella - When the umbrella on the table is not in use, always fold the umbrella to the down position. Wind can blow it away if it’s open.

Black Bears - We have black bears that come by the house from time to time in the summer months. Please do not leave any food or trash outside and keep the doors shut if you are not using them. Do NOT bait them!

Mice - We have mice enter the garage/house from time to time. If you find a dead mouse on a mouse trap please dispose of it in the garage trash can. Thanks!
