Crested Butte Dinner

*ELK AVENUE PRIME

Steak house with a large wine selection! You need to make reservations even if you want to sit at the bar. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and I always go with a steak with some lobster macaroni. This is a good spot if you are looking for dinner with a large group as they can accommodate large groups.

Address: 226 Elk Ave Phone: (970) 349-1221 Hours: 5pm - 9pm

*The Sunflower

A farm to table eatery and everything is made from scratch and developed in house. The menu changes weekly so it’s impossible to make a recommendation but I promise whatever they are serving will be fantastic with clean ingredients. The perfect date spot and also great for small groups. Must make reservations.

Address: 214 Elk Ave Phone: (970) 417-7767 Hours: Varies depending on the season. Two seatings per night. Give them a ring.

*Two Twelve

Crested Butte’s newest restaurant - opened July 2024. Enjoy an elevated mountain dining experience centered around live-fire cooking. Two Twelve’s seasonal menus reflect intention to fresh ingredients and play with the touch of fire. With a focus on the smaller producers, we strive to source our ingredients and products from those who honor the earth and our health. I love the quail appetizer and the Elk rack is phenomenal as well. Half of the tables are reservation only and the other half of the tables are available for walk-ins. This is a fantastic new addition to Crested Butte’s restaurant scene and I highly recommend checking it out.

Address: 212 Elk Ave Phone: (970) 251-5195 Hours: 5pm - 9pm

Izakaya Cabin Sushi

The IZAKAYA CABIN in Crested Butte offers both a casual and lively atmosphere celebrating its namesake as an IZAKAYA (Main Bar & Community Tables) as well as an exquisite sushi / fine dining experience in the Loft. My favorite things are the hamachi carpaccio sashimi and the red lady roll. I recommend making reservations on their website.

Address: 321 Elk Ave Hours: 4pm - 9:00pm

Breadery CB

A sourdough and vegetable forward eatery, bar, and bakehouse. Everything on the menu is fantastic and I recommend ordering family style and sharing everything. Their wood fired pizzas and their spicy coconut margaritas are my favorite. I recommend making a reservation.

Address: 209 Elk Ave Phone: (970) 319-5118 Hours: 5pm - 9:00pm Closed Mondays and Tuesdays

MARCHITELLI’S

Laid-back neighborhood Italian dining room for a range of classical Mediterranean flavors. Pasta, pasta and more pasta.  Amazing Italian food/wine selection and my go-to order is chicken marsala with a side of pesto genovese gnocchi. Please make reservations.

SOUPÇON

French American Bistro - Paired with impeccable ambiance, the charm of a mining cabin, and the blended cuisine steeped in French & American tradition Soupçon is for food lovers everywhere.  It is a requirement to make reservations usually days/weeks/months in advance and they only have one or two seatings per night. I recommend calling them ASAP to find out what nights they have availability as some people plan months in advance to dine here. Crested Butte’s fine dining restaurant - Pricey but definitely worth the experience!

Address: 127 Elk Ave Phone: (970) 349-5448 Call for seating times.

Other Dinner Recommendations - Slogars for some white table cloth family style fried chicken. Secret Stash for casual pizza.
